Panasonic provides advanced security solutions for region


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Medium-sized and large enterprises across the region can solve their security needs thanks to new IP video management systems, which were displayed at the recently concluded Intersec 2014



"Each market in the Middle East and Africa has its own requirements, and we have products and solution for each market," Noriyuki Hayashi, senior sales and marketing manager for the systems solutions department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa, told Khaleej Times in an interview



Hayashi mentioned that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are big growth and potential markets for the company. Qatar is also catching on as the demand will increase gradually because of the Fifa World Cup projects. With the increasing demand more players are entering the market and competition is also very tough in the region, he said, adding that a more than 20 per cent rise in Intersec exhibitors showed the competition and demand







Panasonic's WV-ASR500 system provides an IP-based video surveillance system that is ideal for medium-sized to large enterprises. This new open platform also facilitates third party cameras, which can be integrated with other access controls systems. The system features an open, flexible, scalable, and easy-to-use architecture that can support up to 64 network cameras per server € providing viewing on desktops and mobile devices, recording, alarms, searching, and additional management features. With corporate security risks at an all-time high, companies cannot put off the protection that they need for their office or campus, according to the company. "Our complete solution for Control Room features all the functionality required for recording and video management for today's and tomorrow's business needs, and is seamlessly integrated with IP video system and fire alarm system," Hayashi added



At Intersec, Panasonic also revealed its next generation surveillance solutions for law enforcement, finance, transportation industries and said: "They can rely on our IP video surveillance systems, to enhance safety.



Criminal justice, finance, and transportation industries can use next generation IP video surveillance solutions to ensure safety and security across the region, according to Panasonic



The company also launched facial recognition systems that can help law enforcement agencies in matching one person out of five million faces in three seconds. Panasonic's high-performance and cost-effective WV-ASF900 facial recognition system identifies people based on pictures stored in databases. The Intelligent Video architecture can process 1,000 faces per second for up to 20 cameras at the same time



The new cutting-edge, server-based FacePro facial recognition and matching platform enables high-speed facial search and matching on video from Panasonic i-PRO Cameras utilising the Face Detection option
