US Can Make 3% Growth in 2014, Secretary of Treasury Says

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) US Secretary of Treasury Jack Lew said Friday that his country's economy is strong enough to break the 3% growth of annual growth in 2014.

Lew was giving a speech at Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland. He added that the fiscal policies hampered growth last year, but stressed it would not have the same impact in 2014.

The International Monetary Fund predicted earlier this week that the US GDP will grow by 2.8% in 2014, compared to a 1.9% growth in 2013. The US economy has failed to break the 3% growth barrier since 2005
