China to Invest in Improving Beijing's Environment


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Chinese authorities allocated $125 billion to improve the quality of air in Beijing by 2017. Chinese media reported today that around $14 billion of the sum will go to refurbishing establishments concerned with recycling garbage. The authorities are also set to close down 800 factories due to environmental issues by 2015.



A part of the plan according to Chinese media is to slow down Beijing's economic growth in order to recycle the city's economy. The recycling plan will see an acceleration in the development of the services, clean energy and high-tech sectors
