Kuwait- Egyptian Woman, Three Sons Perish In Jabriya Flat Blaze


(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Egyptian woman and her three sons died when fire broke out in her flat in Jabriya area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a flat on fire in Jabriya area, firefighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics. They discovered that the fire was on the second floor of a residential building and an Egyptian woman and her three sons were trapped inside the flat. The woman's spouse is currently out of the country. Firefighters rescued the trapped victims and extinguished the fire within a short time



However, the four victims died later and their corpses were referred to the Forensics Department. In a press release, the Director of Media and Public Relations Department of Kuwait Fire Services Directorate Colonel Khalil Al-Amir explained that the firefighters rushed to the location of the fire incident within minutes after receiving the distress call. They immediately divided into two teams and one team carried out the rescue operation while the other extinguished the fire. He said the three children and their mother were rescued but they were in serious condition as they suffered from smoke inhalation. Paramedics referred them to Mubarak Hospital but they died on arrival at the hospital. He revealed that the deceased woman was 37 years old while her eldest child was five years old, second was 4 years old and the youngest child was just 18 months old, adding that her husband is currently not in the country, as he is travelling oversea
