S. KOREAN ECONOMY GREW 2.8% IN 2013

The Bank of Korea (BOK) tentatively estimated on Thursday that South Korea's real gross domestic product (GDP) surged nine-tenths of a percent in the fourth quarter last year compared to the third quarter, according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) websit



The estimate puts tentative annual GDP growth for 2013 at 2.8%, coinciding with the central bank's initial projectio



South Korea's annual GDP growth stood at 6.3% in 2010, 3.7% in 2011 and 2% in 201



The central bank attributed the year-on-year surge to continuous growth in private consumption amid brisk exports growt



The bank also said GDP rebounded after construction investment expande
