(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley participated in a counter piracy exercise with the Japanese destroyers JDS Ariake and JDS Setogiri and the South Korean destroyer ROKS Choi Young in the Sea of Oman recently.
Lt David Going, navigation officer aboard USS Bulkeley, said that having ships from different countries work together helped to strengthen cooperation. ''I don't know of many (US) East Coast ships that get to work with the Japanese and South Koreans, especially at the same time,'' he said.
