Australia CPI up 0.8 percent in Q4


(MENAFN) The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said that the consumer price index (CPI) in the country increased 0.8 percent in the fourth quarter last year, Xinhua reported



The ABS said that the CPI in the period came above expected, raising the inflation for the whole year to 2.7 percent



Most price increases in the quarter were mainly in domestic holiday travel and accommodation, fruit, vegetables, international holiday travel and accommodation and tobacco
