Asia's sales of PC falls 10 percent in 2013


(MENAFN) Personal computer sales in the Asia Pacific dropped by 10 percent in 2013 as economy suffers slow growth, and due to strong competition in mobile services, according to Arab News



PC sales decreased 108 million units in the Asia Pacific outside Japan, reported the International Data Corporation (IDC)



IDC said: "The economic sluggishness in big emerging markets in the region adversely affected buying sentiments.



"On the consumer side, smartphone and tablet distractions spread throughout the region this year, further contributing to the sharp decline in the PC market.
