(MENAFN) Oil consumption in China hit its slowest increase in 20 years last year on the back of a slower economic growth leading to cut in demand for transportation and industrial fuels, The Peninsula Qatar reported
Demand for oil in the country is said to have increased by 150,000 barrels per day (bpd), or 1.6 percent in 2013 from the year before
An oil analyst with China International Capital Corp said: "China's oil demand has entered an era of moderate growth," adding that, "Diesel demand was almost flat last year, but gasoline demand kept rapid growth on rosy auto sales.
