More than 80 firms to participate in IDF Oman expo


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) More than 80 international and local companies will take part in the Interior, Design, Decor and Furniture (IDF) exhibition to be  held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre from February 3 to 5.


Organised by Al Nimr Expo under the patronage of Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition will be inaugurated by H E Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed bin Said al Marhouf al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs.


Of the total participants, 55 are international companies from 15 countries.


The exhibition will focus on accessories, art, bathroom décor, furniture and furnishings, interior design, kitchen, lighting, surfaces and finishes, textiles and carpets, with a special section on commercial interiors, retail fit-outs, outdoor design and building and renovation.


''Oman's continuous development in the construction and the real estate sector, has led to the launch of numerous commercial, residential and tourism projects, thus creating a demand for interior and outdoor design, décor and furnishings.

''We encourage interior designers to take a look at the different stalls,'' said Melwin D'Cunha, managing director, Al Nimr Expo.


''IDF Oman will create a perfect platform for visitors to network with exhibitors showcasing advanced solutions and innovative products and services.''


Lanston Pinto, project executive, Al Nimr Expo said, ''We will also have a stall of Naqsh Gallery where visitors will be able to win a piece of art from the gallery. We encourage everyone to come and take a look.''


The special highlight of IDF Oman will be the Italian pavilion managed by Medinit SRL featuring more than 25 Italian interior design comp
