UAE signs five deals with Pacific island countries


(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates has signed agreements with five Pacific island countries to deploy renewable energy projects worth USD50 million, according to the Emirates 24/7



The new projects will be financed by the UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund, and are considered as one of the largest capital investments in the region"s clean energy sector



Masdar, Abu Dhabi"s renewable energy company, will be responsible for co-designing and implementing the five projects
