Industry in US grows 0.4 percent in Dec.


(MENAFN) The industrial output in the US increased in the fourth quarter of last year as industrial activity finished the year on a powerful note, Khaleej Times reported



The Federal Reserve reported that the industrial production last month went up 0.4 percent, following a 1 percent growth the month before it



Deputy chief US economist at TD Securities said: "Despite the expected drop in housing construction activity in December, due to the unwind of the unsustainable strength in November and weather effects, the overall tone of this report was quite encouraging suggesting that the sector ended the year on fairly strong footing.
