(MENAFN -Arab News) Sobhi Batterjee, chairman of the board of trustees of Batterjee Medical College (BMC) and the board of directors, displayed the strategic plan for the next 10 years to improve the college in the presence of members of the council and in collaboration with the University of Maastricht, Netherlands, at the headquarters of the college in Jeddah.
Batterjee stressed that the implementation of this strategy has already begun as "we have made significant achievements on the academic and administrative levels."
He added: "We'll see great strides to be achieved this year and the next year." He noted that the strategy is already complete and ready for implementation.
Dr. Hassan Shaibah, BMC dean, said the 10-year plan is characterized by its richness and focus on the development of academic programs and supporting scientific research, student activities and infrastructure.
"It is also very flexible and modifiable in case we needed to make some changes to serve the college, he said, adding that the strategy is based on global expertise, such as the University of Maastricht, one of the pioneers in medical education. The strategy will be finalized in terms of professional and scientific aspects to be effectively implemented.
Dr. Khaled Batterjee, vice chairman of the board of trustees, praised the efforts of those who planned the strategy. He added that the college is seeking professionalism in its programs.
