Dutch agricultural exports hit USD107b in 2013


(MENAFN) The Dutch Secretary for Economic Affairs said that the value of the country's agricultural exports went up to a new record of USD107 billion last year, Xinhua reported



The figure represents a five percent increase in the value against the year before it. The secretary said: "These figures show that the agricultural sector plays a major role in the recovery of the Dutch economy.



The majority of the country's agricultural exports went to the European Union, which accounted for nearly 80 percent of the total



Netherland's main trade partner in the year was Germany, as the value of agricultural exports to Germany hit USD30.3 billion, or 28.5 percent of the total
