(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) With safety and security continuing to be a high-priority issue in the Middle East, the largest edition of Intersec - a premier safety, security and fire protection trade event - opens its doors today at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre

About 25,000 trade visitors, key decision makers and industry professionals are expected to attend the three-day event

"Apart from being the leading trade platform that showcases the latest international safety and security trends and developments to the region, Intersec 2014 also promotes healthy industry interaction and stimulates discussion between international experts and regional thought leaders on hot button issues that impact the industry as a whole," said Ahmed Pauwels, chief executive officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt - the organiser

Intersec's continuous growth over the years underlines the growing importance of the industries it serves in the Middle East markets. It also points to the exhibition and conference's success in projecting regional needs and requirements onto the international stage.
