(MENAFN - Arab News) The forthcoming Madinah investment forum will explore a series of mega projects in the region predicted to be worth SR4 billion, organizers told local media.
The forum, to be organized by Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), will kick off on Feb. 12, Forum Coordinator Ali Awari said.
The two-day forum will discuss projects related to endowments, real estate and industry, in addition to a key project offered by Yanbu Royal Commission (YRC), he added.
The forum is meant to encourage businessmen the importance of having investments in Madinah and to conclude strategic partnerships with concerned government agencies for creating constructive regulatory environment that will boost business sector and the national economy, he was quoted as saying.
A number of work papers will be presented, including investments in industrial and tourism sectors, expansion of Prince Mohamed International Airport in Madinah and the Haramain High Speed Train Project, he said.
For his part, Head of MCCI Mohamed Al-Khatrawi said the forum represents a strategic step whereby Madinah could cope with developments at local, regional and global levels.
