(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Omani-Vietnamese joint committee headed by Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Industry and Trade in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, visited Rusayl Industrial Estate, affiliated to the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), recently with the aim of reinforcing cooperation ties between the sultanate and Vietnam, promote investment prospects and discuss the outlook of setting up joint ventures.
The Vietnamese delegation was received by Hilal bin Hamad al Hasani, CEO of PEIE, who briefed them on the vision and mission of PEIE in general and the history of Rusayl Industrial Estate in particular through tracking the development stages it went through since 1983.
The delegation familiarised itself with the role played by sultanate's strategic location and its most prominent characteristics in investment promotion. They were also introduced to the facilities and services offered by PEIE for investors in the various industrial estates pertaining to PEIE and the compelling investment opportunities in the country.
The delegates were acquainted with the existing factories operating in the estate and their high quality products and services. The Vietnamese delegation praised the experience of the sultanate in general and PEIE in particular in managing and supervising the industrial estates and the vital role they play to achieve the country's sustainable growth. The visitors also expressed their aspiration to boost trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
