ODC repair business grows strongly


(MENAFN) Oman Drydock Company (ODC), one of the newest and biggest shipyards in the Middle East's, has posted its strongest year of trading, Times of Oman reported



The company undertook 75 drydockings and repairs last year bringing the total number to 190 since the yard was launched in 2011



Staff numbers at ODC also increased in the year by more than 2,000. The vessels ODC has worked on include Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), crude oil tankers, container ships, LNG and LPG carriers, chemical carriers, bulk carriers, and dredgers and barges



ODC marketing director said: "In 2013 we saw ODC continue to establish itself as one of the main ship repair and conversion locations in the Middle East.
