Brazil's inflation hits 5.91 percent


(MENAFN) Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in Brazil, which indicates inflation, jumped to 5.91 percent last, up from 5.84 percent in 2012, Xinhua reported



Official statistics agency IBGE said the food and beverages sector was the most contributer to the inflation rate with an increase of 8.48 percent



Also, inflation rate in personal expenses, health and personal care products and transportation was recorded by the IBGE



"Tthe rate was below the target (upper limit), demonstrating that it is under control and that there is no lack of control in future perspective," the country's Interim Finance Minister said
