Singapore's container throughput expands 2.9 percent


(MENAFN) The port of Singapore's container throughput expanded 2.9 percent in 2013 from 2012 with a record of 32.6 million containers, Xinhua reported



Singapore's Transport Minister said the port remains to be the world's second busiest container port after Shanghai



The total cargo tonnage handled by Singapore's port increased 3.6 percent in 2013 to reach 557.5 million tons
