(MENAFN) Irish food and drink exports in 2013 increased 9 percent to hit USD13.6 billion, registering a new record, Xinhua reported
The export figures released by the Irish food board, Bord Bia, shows that the value of exports of dairy products and ingredients went over USD4 billion for the first time
The board said that meat and livestock exports hit USD4.4 billion, while prepared foods came at USD2.24 billion in the year
Bord Bia said that Britain is still the largest destination for Irish food and drink exports as it comprised USD5.5 billion, or 42 percent, of Ireland's total food and drink exports
