Philippines debt reaches USD126b by Oct.


(MENAFN) The Philippine's Bureau of Treasury said that the country's debt by the end of October last year increased to USD126.17 billion, Xinhua reported



The bureau stated that the increase registers a 5.4 percent increase over the USD119.69 billion logged the year before



The increase in the national government debt was due to a 10.5 percent hike in domestic loans in the period



Around 66 percent of debts incurred by the national government were sourced from domestic creditors while 34 percent came from foreign lenders
