(MENAFN - Arab News) A delegation of young Saudis recently visited the village of Toyone in the Aichi Prefecture in Japan to strengthen ties with the people of the area.

The village was the hospitality partner for the Saudi delegation at the 2005 Aichi Exhibition, an event held to highlight environmental and renewable energy issues.

Abdulaziz Alkaridis, director general of youth affairs at the General Presidency of Youth Welfare, led the delegation on the visit.

The delegation included Turki Al-Qahtani, Ali Al-Aliwah, Faris Al-Shareef, Adel Mazi, Fahd Al-Hamzani, Hazim Al-Ruki, Bader Al-Shabanat and Abdullah Al-Hunainhen.

Minoru Ito, the village mayor, and other dignitaries welcomed the delegation. Ito said the village hosts many Saudi students studying in Japan. He said that 2015 would mark 10 years of partnership with young Saudis.
