(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) A new membership structure at Muscat Hills for 2014 has seen an influx of new and old members at Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club. The gold membership category (an all inclusive membership with golf carts and range balls) has already attracted over 200 golfers to become full members of the resort golf course at Airport Heights.

The discounted membership was issued by H H Rawy bin Kais al Said, CEO and patron owner, as a subsidy towards each member from the holding company Muscat Hills Golf Course Project LLC. The initiative was arranged due to the phase two' residential properties currently under construction at Muscat Hills that feature villas and townhouses, available for purchase under the ITC. The Muscat Hills membership is one of the most affordable memberships in the sultanate in 2014.

Full membership at Muscat Hills is only RO1,000 and family membership is at RO2,200. Junior membership for under 12 years is only RO50. All categories are inclusive of golf carts and driving range usage. The influx of new members has increased the friendliness and social community at Muscat Hills and the growth of golf is surely to be rapid in 2014 with the increased numbers of golfers and participants. Muscat Hills is trying to make the game of golf popular in Oman, particularly among Omanis.

The new membership has already attracted a number of Omani golfers. A number of children have also taken up the game of golf with a one-year membership at RO50. Director of golf, Ray Stopforth was quoted as saying, ''Muscat Hills built a state-of-the-art golf academy over two years ago and we currently employ two teaching golf professionals, with a specific goal of training new golfers and juniors.

''The new membership structure for 2014 has already brought a lot of new golfers and juniors to play on the fairways, and we hope they enjoy the 2014 golf season which features a number of highly anticipated events.''
