(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) With the conclusion of the fourth quarter of the year 2013, Bank Sohar is all set to host its yearend grand draw of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme in mid January, 2014. The grand draw will witness 13 lucky customers walking away with bumper cash prizes of RO777,000. After a successful year of organising events and road shows for the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme, the time has finally come where Bank Sohar will conduct the year-end grand draw and announce the winners of the popular Save and Win' scheme.
In addition, the popular hourly draws will continue till January 2014, after which a new innovative prize draw scheme will be launched for 2014. While highlighting the grand draw details, R Narasimhan, DGM and head of retail banking, mentioned that one lucky winner will receive RO600,000. In addition to this, a regional winner will receive RO7,000. A special scheme for children was introduced this year and thereby ten lucky minors will walk away with RO7,000 each; totaling RO70,000.
As an added bonus, anyone who maintains a higher minimum average balance of RO10,000 will be eligible for an exclusive prize draw of RO100,000. Overall, Bank Sohar is poised to reward its clients with healthy savings habits with prize amounts totalling to more than three quarter of a million in the grand draw itself. Also, it is the only bank which introduced the hourly draw scheme for its customers in this market.
Narasimhan, said, ''The year end grand draw is the most exciting time for all of us at Bank Sohar as well as our customers as we are all set to give huge cash prizes under the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme.'' He added, ''I would like to wish all our customers the very best of luck in the upcoming year end grand draw as well as encourage them to continue saving more in future.''
The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme for 2013 from Bank Sohar provided a major incentive for customers to save money for their future, as well as giving customers an opportunity to win fabulous prizes throughout the year. The bank achieved this by offering a better chance of winning to those that save more into their account.
Customers had four chances for every minimum average balance of just RO100 maintained in their accounts for any of the above draws, apart from the exclusive prize draw which required the aforementioned minimum average balance of RO10,000 and the grand draw of RO600,000 which required a minimum balance of only RO1,000. Additionally, children's savings accounts had double the chance of winning compared to a standard saving account, giving eight chances for every minimum average balance maintained. Accounts maintained in AED are also eligible to participate in the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme draws
