(MENAFNEditorial) Al Majaz Waterfront, one of the leading leisure and tourist destinations in Sharjah, welcomed the New Year with a dazzling display of fireworks that captivated the crowds who enjoyed the perfect mix of fireworks and the Sharjah Fountain's show and welcomed the year 2014 with great enthusiasm and high spirits
Before the midnight, a digital laser timer was displayed on the Sharjah Fountain for a New Year's Eve countdown which culminated with the roar of a massive crowd and an exploding fireworks show. Visitors and tourists expressed their joy and excitement at the ringing in of the New Year
A large number of families who decided to take the advantage of Al Majaz Waterfront's easy accessibility and its world class dining and entertainment facilities flocked to the venue for the evening. Fine food and beverages were served to visitors at the restaurants and cafes which all overlook the breathtaking Sharjah Fountain.
Al Majaz Waterfront organised a series of entertaining activities throughout 2013, such as the Ramadan and Eid Packages which featured the exclusive screening of songs by the little Hala Al Turk and Freej. Other notable activities that took place at the destination in 2013 included ALWAN centre's programmes, an "The Earth Harp" show by America's Got Talent finalist William Close, acrobatic water shows, the comedy bands and the Corvette Revolution which all provided a fun and entertaining atmosphere to families and visitors
