Islamic banking in Malaysia to hit USD390m in 2018


(MENAFN) International Islamic banking assets of Malaysia are seen growing to over USD390 billion by 2018 from the 2012 figure of USD125 billion, Saudi Gazette reported



Ernst & Young Malaysia's Country Managing Partner and Islamic Finance Leader said that the liberalization of the financial sector in the country is creating more opportunities for partnerships with foreign banks



He said: "Malaysia is considered one of the key reference centers and is expected to provide leadership for the next phase of the industry's progress.
