(MENAFN - Arab News) Jubail youth organized the first TEDx Jubail recently. The event was supported by the Jubail University College and hosted by the Royal Commission.
The event was held at the conference hall at Al-Fanateer in Jubail Industrial City in the presence of a number of male and female youths and specialists from different institutions and companies in the Eastern Province.
A group of distinguished participants attended the forum and offered a range of achievements and experiences in various fields.
The series of events included an entertainment program and an interactive exhibition.
The forum presented several topics. Ahmed Ayad spoke on "Small objects key to ideas."
Hamad Al-Dhoaile spoke on Saudi Bank Food; Mohamed Fehaid spoke on "Sign Language"; Mohamed Akabawy talked about "Sea Agriculture." These were in addition to other discussions which challenged thinkers to give extempore speeches in 18 minutes or less.
The TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. TEDx is a nonprofit organization owned by The Sapling group
