Oman's State Council discusses draft law for regulating nursing profession


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The State Council's office held its fifth meeting of the third annual sitting for the fifth term at the council building in Al Bustan on Monday under its chairman Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Manthri.


The meeting approved minutes of the previous meeting and reviewed a report following up on the implementation of decisions taken during the previous meeting. It reviewed a report following up on activities of the committees during the period between the office's current and previous meeting and the session held on December 17, 2013.


The office hosted the chairperson of the Social Committee and the rapporteur of the committee to discuss a proposal about preparing a draft for regulating nursing profession. The meeting discussed a number of proposals by several committees and reviewed issues referred to the committee by concerned authorities. It also reviewed the reports provided by members of the State Council and took appropriate decision.


The office approved a decision to revise the regulations for investing pension fund money, as well as a report on the same, which will be presented at the fourth session, scheduled to be held on January 21.
