Majlis A'Shura's committee discusses draft to amend Omani Penal Law


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Majlis A'Shura's Legislative and Legal Committee on Monday held its sixth regular meeting of the third annual sitting of the seventh term, under Said bin Ghanim al Miqbali, head of the committee.


The committee reviewed the draft to amend some provisions of Agencies law, referred to it by the office of the Majlis A'Shura to study and give suggestions. It also discussed the draft to amend two articles of the Omani Penal Law referred to it by the office of the Majlis A'Shura.


The committee reviewed its memorandum to expand the work of some ministries, institutions and companies within the framework of the legislative and legal powers granted to the Majlis A'Shura. The committee approved the legal opinion given by one of its members on a query from the chairman of Muscat Municipality about the tender of Yeti-Al Sifah road.


It also discussed many legislative and legal issues.
