Cars sold in Australia hits 1.14m in 2013


(MENAFN) Figures by the Australian Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) show that a record number of cars was sold in the country last year, Xinhua reported. The FCAI said that the total number of cars sold in Australia was 1.14 million. Toyota Corolla was the top-selling car in 2013 with 43,498 units sold in the year. FCAI Chief Executive said that passenger cars were the most popular, comprising 49.9 percent of the total sales. "However, this is a slight decrease compared to 2012, where passenger cars held 51.7 percent of the market," he added.
