(MENAFN - Arab News) Two students died in Qassim in a road crash on Sunday minutes after they left school where they had sat for final examinations. The fatal accident took place when the car in which they were traveling was hit by a trailer truck at an intersection north of Buraidah.

According to a report carried by sabq.org, another student was seriously injured in the incident and was taken to King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority for treatment.
In a related development, two passengers died and 31 others were injured when the bus they were traveling overturned in Hutat Sudair in Majmaa on Sunday.

Mohammed Al-Hamadi, spokesman of the Civil Defense in Riyadh, confirmed the accident involving a bus belonging to the Saudi Arabian Public Transport Company.

He said the bus carrying 38 passengers and was on its way from Riyadh to Qassim. "The department was informed about the accident at 3:15 a.m. on Sunday.

"We immediately sent five rescue teams, two fire-fighting teams and other equipment to the site," Al-Hamadi said.

He said the department accommodated 15 passengers in a building in Hutat Sudair and removed the bus from the expressway.
