HSBC Bank Oman launches 2014 edition of Mandoos Saving Scheme

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) HSBC Bank launched the 2014 edition of the Mandoos Savings Scheme, which will offer customers cash prizes, including the RO1mn grand prize, at the Muscat City Centre, Seeb on Sunday. The RO1mn grand prize will be shared by ten customers at the end of the year.

The Mandoos scheme will also see 30 customers winning RO1,000 each month, and four customers winning RO50,000 each in March and June.

Abdul Qader al Sumali, deputy general manager of retail banking and wealth management at HSBC said, ''Ever since the scheme was launched, it has been very popular among customers. We hope to start 2014 with better prospects. There are prizes every month and there will be many winners.''

He added that the scheme has been redesigned to give customers a chance to win the grand prize.

The process to join the scheme has also been made easy. New customers can apply for the account online and existing customers can open the Mandoos account through their personal Internet banking option.

''There is no major criteria to win the prizes except that one must maintain a minimum balance of RO100,'' said Sumali.

HSBC Bank Oman currently serves more than 300,000 retail customers and 10,000 corporate clients through more than 80 branches and 120 ATMs spread across the country, officials said.<
