Brazil's economy forecasted to grow in 2014

(MENAFN) The growing investments and exports in Brazil are expected to improve its economy in 2014, said Finance Minister Guido Mantega, according to Oman Observer. Mantega, aiming to lift some of the gloom a day after Brazil unveiled its worst trade balance in 13 years, revealed the country had surpassed its primary fiscal surplus target. The country saw a strong surplus of USD2.56 billion in 2013, the lowest since 2000, which was disappointing. But "the balance will improve with increased oil production and derived products," The finance minister said.
