Kuwait- Ministry Pulls Back From Decision To Cut Top Speed

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Ministry of Interior has retreated from its decision to reduce the maximum speed on highways after the decision was 'confronted and rejected' by the citizens saying the decision has been postponed for further technical studies, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The technical teams of the team were seen working to replace the old traffic signs with the new one in preparation for the implementation of the decision to reduce the speed on the highways. The citizens said they were "surprised" with the new decision. Many Twitter users said it came as a surprise for them because the decision came without a warning. The critics of the decision based their comparisons between Kuwait and a number of Gulf countries and Europe which have 'fast' and 'slow' lanes.
