Manufacturing index in China drops to 51


(MENAFN) The manufacturing growth in China registered its first monthly slowdown in six months, showing that the country faced headwinds at the end of 2013, The Peninsula reported. The National Bureau of Statistics said that the purchasing managers' index (PMI) came at 51, which is 0.4 down from the 51.4 logged in November. The figure still represents the 15th consecutive monthly gain, but is the first drop in activity in six months.
