South Korea's export volume, trade surplus hit new record in 2013


(MENAFN) The South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said that the export volume and trade surplus in the country hit a new record in 2013, Qatar News Agency reported. South Korea's exports came at USD559.7 billion last year, registering a 2.2 percent increase from the year before it. Imports, on the other hand, dropped 0.8 percent to USD515.5 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of USD44.2 billion.
