Saudi Electricity Company Signs SR 660 Million Contract for Hail 3 Power Plant


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Saudi Electricity Company (SEM) has recently signed a contract for the construction of SR 660 million sub- power plant 3 in Hail with a capacity of 380 kilovolt, with Siemens AG, specialized in the fields of energy, infrastructure, industry and health care. The contract was signed by SEM President Eng Ali Al-Barrak and Head of Energy Transmission Sector at Siemens AG in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Peter Bruder, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Under the contract, Siemens shall supply all the key components of the sub-power plant such as gas separation transformers, power transformers, reactors, safety systems and communication devices in addition to other civil and Electromechanical works. The signing of the contract comes at a time Hail is experiencing rapidly growing population, industries and agriculture like most of the Kingdom's regions.
