UAE's PC market to shrink 12 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) UAE's PC market is expected to drop by about 12 percent in the coming year reaching 1.89 million units compared to 2.14 million units this year, according to Gulf News. Tablets and smartphones are expected to win the competition and cause loss in the PC market. Fouad R. Charakla, research manager at International Data Corporation (IDC), said: "The shift to mobile devices will have tremendous impact on PC shipments, particularly across the consumer segment."
