Qatar's GDP expands 6.2 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) The real gross domestic product (GDP) in Qatar expanded in the third quarter by 6.2 percent versus the corresponding period a year ago, The Peninsula reported. The GDP in the quarter is estimated at USD25.3 billion versus USD23.6 in the same quarter a year ago. The GDP grew by 4.3 percent compared to the quarter before it. The mining and quarrying sector, which includes oil and gas production in the country, expanded 1.8 percent year-on-year. The non-mining and quarrying sectors in the period hit an estimate of USD14.9 billion with a growth of 9.5 percent.
