Pakistan, Iran to sign electricity supply deal


(MENAFN) Pakistan and Iran plan to sign an initial deal to supply Pakistan with 1,000 megawatts of electricity to cover the country's growing demand, according to Tehran Times. The Ministry of Water and Power said a draft of memorandum of understanding (MoU) should be vetted to be signed with Iran for electricity import. A source said: "Pakistan will be paying 8-11 cents per unit of electricity under the formula agreed with Iran."
