In a statement to local media on Monday, Chairman of the Parliament's Foreign Policy and National Security Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that bill was a warning to the United States and the Western governments. Through pursuing the plan, the parliament is trying to support the Iranian negotiating team in the course of negotiations with the West, he said, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. Boroujerdi confirmed that some 230 lawmakers have signed the bill so far, adding that it bill will be binding to the government if approved. The MPs argue that their demand on the current competition among the fuel producing nations and say they believe that higher fuel enrichment will bring superiority for Iran. They said that they believe that modern economic development is dependent on diversity in generation of energy and access to renewable energies.
