Oman Arab Bank sponsors Oman Tourism Investment Conference


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman Arab Bank (OAB) sponsored the Oman Tourism Investment Conference held at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Muscat on December 22 and 23.

The conference was organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce. The inauguration ceremony of the conference was held under the auspices of H H Sayyid Taimour bin Asaad bin Tariq al Said. The conference aimed at highlighting tourist potential in the sultanate and the investment climate in the tourism sector. Khalil Bin Abdullah al Khonji, chairman, OCCI, said, ''Tourism projects in the sultanate will provide many job opportunities.

The tourism sector also plays an important role in economic development especially if exploited properly.'' OAB's participation in this conference came through its Investment Management Group and The Credit Corporate Department. OAB is the leading bank in financing construction projects in the sultanate. The management of the bank does not hesitate in financing any infrastructure and development projects which add to the national economy and push forward the wheel of development.
