(MENAFN - Arab News) Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) in Riyadh will launch an initiative to spread awareness on security to develop the skills and knowledge of employees working in this field.
The governors of the Riyadh region participated on Sunday in a special training course entitled "Security Command" at NAUSS's headquarters.
Jama'an Rashid bin Raqoush, NAUSS's president, stressed the importance of this course in its implications for the security and safety of society.
He added: "This initiative comes within the framework of scientific and strategic cooperation between the university and Riyadh region to achieve security and safety for young citizens."
He said: "We are focusing on developing Arab cadres and exchanging views and experiences according to the aspirations of Arab interior ministers, the most prominent of whom is Interior Minister Prince Muhammad bin Naif, honorary president of the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior and president of the Supreme Council of the university."
Speaking with Arab News, Saqar bin Mohammad Al-Muqayed, director of international cooperation at NAUSS, said that they are also focusing on different agreements with other international universities to exchange student and teacher delegations for the benefit of the public."
The university aims to serve Arab nations in providing expert academic studies and training to security forces. In addition, NAUSS cooperates with international security institutions and experts in exchanging knowledge and experience.
NAUSS also has strong relationships with many educational and security-related institutions regionally and internationally, including the United Nations.
