Kuwait - 7 Ice-Cream Kiosks Confiscated

(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Kuwait Municipality personnel are continuing their field campaigns to arrest hawkers who regularly sell their wares in front of public and private schools, especially the ice-cream vendors. The campaigns have led to the issuance of 16 citations and confiscating seven ice-cream kiosks, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. A source informed officials from the Public Hygiene and Road Constructions Department coordinated with their counterparts from the Public Relations Department to carry out the campaigns. He said the hawkers violate rules and regulations laid down by the Municipality against sale of food items like nuts, juice, sweets and sugarcane in the vicinity of the schools, which also the terms and conditions of their permits.
