Morocco, Qatar ink 4 cooperative deals


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) In the presence of King Mohammad VI, of Morocco, and visiting Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani the governments of both countries signed on Friday three agreements and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in various fields. The signing ceremony took place following the summit talks held at the Royal Palace in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh. One of the agreements aims to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion; the second deals with industrial cooperation; and the third aims to finance the construction of infrastructure projects in Morocco. By virtue of the MoU, the State of Qatar will offer a grant for Morocco to finance a number of development projects. Soon after welcoming the Qatari Amir at the royal palace, King Mohammad VI presented his guest the Order of Muhammadiya.
