Yemen rises spending by 4 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) Yemen plans to raise spending by about 4 percent in 2014 in the draft budget compared to 2013 budget, reaching USD13.4 billion, according to Arab News. Revenue is expected to reach USD586 billion in 2014, or 6 percent growth from the current budget plan. The government plans a tougher plan to generate revenue from non-oil sector, taxes and customs duties.
