Celebrating the evolution of the Corvette at Al Majaz Waterfont

(MENAFNEditorial) Al Majaz Waterfront, one of the leading leisure and tourist destinations in Sharjah, is all set to host its 'Corvette Revolution' in collaboration with the Corvette Arabian Club, taking place from the 26th to the 28th of December at Al Majaz Waterfront's West Events Circle. The spectacular event will be a showcase of the evolution of what is held by many to be "America's Sportscar" and will feature some of the most beautiful examples of this fiery automobile, ranging from the C1 models that were first seen in the 50's through to Chevrolet's very latest re-conceptualisation – the C7 Stingray. Mohammed Al Mazroui, Al Majaz Waterfront, commented, "When it comes to the world of cars, and especially classic cars, there is nothing that fires our imaginations more than the sports car. We all grow up admiring the way these pieces of automotive engineering look, sound, and of course the luxury they represent and that is what we want to celebrate with this event. The Chevrolet Corvette has rightly earned its place one of the most popular sports cars ever and this is a chance for our visitors, of all ages, to get up close and personal with models of this automotive icon that they might never get the chance to see otherwise. We look forward to welcoming people from all over the Emirates to enjoy this wonderful event with us." The 'Corvette Revolution' will feature examples of each of the models from the C1 through to the C7, all with detailed specifications and histories for each car on display courtesy of the Corvette Arabian Club, the UAE's biggest club dedicated to the Corvette. In addition to the cars on display, Al Majaz Waterfront has also organised a full line up of entertainment set to take place between 6pm and midnight each day, including a live stage show, while the representatives from the Corvette Arabian Club will be entertaining the crowds with a range of interactive games. The Dhs120m Al Majaz Waterfront, Shurooq's debut project, was opened March 26, 2012, and is situated in Sharjah's most vital and commercial district on the picturesque Khalid Lagoon. As one of the premier tourist and leisure destinations in Sharjah, it plays host to all major events in the emirate. Al Majaz Waterfront also houses many world-class restaurants and cafes, including: T.G.I Friday's, Caribou Coffee, Fat Burger, Pizzaro, Baja Fresh, Zahr El Laymoun, Tim Hortons café, Cold Stone, ElManza, a fine dining Moroccan restaurant and the soon to be opened Shakespeare and Co. All of them overlook the breath-taking Sharjah Fountain. In addition to that, Al Majaz Waterfront also houses Splash Park, Mini Golf, Play Area and "ALWAN" a unique activity centre exclusively designed for children to spend quality time with their parents or simply to have fun.
