Japan's Major Carmakers Log Record Overseas Output in November


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Japan's top three automakers,Toyota, Nissan and Honda logged record overseas outputs in November, local media reported. Toyota Motor Corp.'s overseas output increased 16.4% compared with the same period last year to 506,742 units on the back of improving market conditions in Asia, particularly China Nissan Motor Co. produced 381,950 units abroad, up 26.8%, while Honda's overseas output gained 21.0% to 301,403 units, according to data released the day In the domestic market, Toyota's production gained 3.5% from a year before to 266,817 units following last year's slump triggered by the termination of the government's subsidy program for the purchase of green cars, the company said Honda's domestic production rose 34.5% to 96,835 units on solid sales of the latest Fit hybrid, which hit the market in September Nissan's was down 14.9% to 79,613 units
