Man killed after car turns turtle in Ras Al Khaimah


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Major Salem Burqiba, Head of the Traffic and Patrols Section at the Daqdaqa Police Station, on Tuesday attributed the accident to overspeeding. "The man, identified as H.S.A., was driving his car at a high speed and lost control over it. It veered off the road, and overturned several times." The accident resulted in head injuries to the victim, in addition to injuries all over his body. The Central Operations Room of the RAK Police, alerted of the mishap, dispatched traffic and rescue teams to the scene, but the man was declared dead at the spot. "The body of the deceased was shifted to the morgue." Major Burqiba urged all motorists to abide by traffic rules and regulations, and respect the speed limit "for their own safety and that of others".
